From May 29 to 31, 2024, representatives of the .hr domain Registry participated in the CENTR Jamboree 2024, which was held in Copenhagen and organized by our colleagues from Punktum dk.
This important event brought together members of the CENTR community for three days of intensive workshops, sessions, and networking. The first two days, May 29 and 30, were held in a hybrid format, while all sessions on May 31 were conducted in person.
Some of the main topics included sustainable development of registries, discussing strategies for integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reducing carbon footprints, and sharing best practices. Other topics included Article 28 of the NIS2 Directive, where three different registries shared their insights on the implications of this article and its impact on their organizations. An analysis of domain registration data as an economic indicator, based on research conducted by .au Domain Administration (auDA), demonstrated how domain registration data can be indicators of economic activity and digital transformation. The NIS2 Directive was also a significant topic, focusing on new requirements for 'verification procedures' and how EU member states have transposed the directive into national laws. The final topic was reducing cyber threats through collaborative efforts in combating malicious domains, utilizing AI technologies for predictive intelligence.
Our participation in this event provided us with valuable insights and knowledge exchange with colleagues from across Europe. We look forward to applying the knowledge gained and further strengthening cooperation within the CENTR community.
